Can you believe Christmas is over already? Cause I sure can't. To be honest, I'm pretty sure I've been in an eternal food coma ever since I consumed three times my bodyweight in prosecco and the infamous Christmas roast...
Regardless I hope you all had a wonderful day with your friends or family, whatever it is you got up to. I wasn't actually planning on doing a 'What I got For Christmas' post, but I've been bed-bound with flu this past week and having binge watched
As you all know, I can talk for England so I've not included all of my prezzies, just the main ones and a couple of cute bits and bobs too - else this post would be far too long, and I just CBA with that. Cause I'm ill.. did I mention that yet? - Anyway I'm so in love with all of my presents this year, and I hope you got everything you wished for too!
Just look at it!!!!! |
So there's one glaringly obvious prezzie I have to start with; the oh so beautiful Olympus Pen E-PL8! I've been wanting to up my photo game for a while now, (both in terms of my camera and my actual knowledge of photography) so I'm so grateful to both my parents and my Granny and Papa for buying me this gorgeous thing! Granny also bought me the coolest book on Digital Photography to go with it, which I'm excited to have a read of.
The adorable festive pyjamas top in the background is from Victoria's Secret Pink, and was the one present I was allowed to open (after much deliberation between mum and I) on Christmas Eve. She bought it whilst we were in Florida in October and I had completely forgotten about it till I woke up from a mid afternoon nap (the best kind) and it was on my pillow!
Cause would any blogger Xmas be right without some makeup?! |
One of my besties, Megan - yep that one I've talked about countless time - bought me the most thoughtful present this year. It was essentially a sparkly green box FILLED with different make-up and skincare goodies, and I'm in love with so many of the products she got me already! I've only included a few of them in this post but I can guarantee you'll be seeing them in a post/video soon. I'd never tried Hoola by Benefit before, bad blogger I know, so I'm so happy to finally own that, and the Glow All Out Highlighting stick in Ice Shimmer is the most beautiful pearlescent icy-pink colour. (And let's be real... a girl can't have too many highlighters, am I right?)
My beautiful mama also picked up on my subtle as a brick hints about wanting the Charlotte Tilbury Kissing Liptick in the shade Kim K.W. It's a gorgeous nude pink shade and I haven't had anything similar in my collection for a while. From first glance it looks close in colour to MAC Angel/Creme Cup, but I'm trying to go cruelty free with my make-up this year so this is fab new replacement!
I was only expecting a couple of stocking fillers from my parents since I was getting my new camera, but they bought me some really thoughtful little bits! Mum, like myself, is a hand cream fiend so saw this cute little miniature set in L'Occitane and immediately thought of me. The Spiced Apple shower gel from The Body Shop was another prezzie from Megan, and OMG it smells divine! It genuinely makes me excited to have a shower it smells that good - that makes me sound like I'm don't wash that often.. I'm clean I promise! - Seriously though, I need to get my butt down to The Body Shop to buy a full size of this, Prontissimo!
My parents are well aware of my tea obsession, so any birthday or Christmas isn't complete without a new fancy flavour of tea to try. This one is from Marks & Spencers and is Rooibos tea, infused with Vanilla and Cocoa Nibs. I had a whiff of this on Christmas day and it smelled divine, so I'm super excited to have a mug of this when I get my sense of smell back. (I wasn't joking when I said I was ill you know) The Maraschino Cherries are a funny little present I get in my stocking every year too. For as long as I can remember, my mum has always held fun cocktail parties for her friends at our house and I always used to pinch the cherries from the jar when she wasn't looking. I'm assuming she eventually noticed, cause these have been appearing in my stocking ever since...
Last but definitely not least is this gorgeous bottle of Sir Robin of Locksley gin. I came across this beauty with my drinking pal Tiffany AKA Frost In Space, at the Gin Festival Leicester, (read my post here) and we both loved the sweet elderflower infusion. Plus it's a small batch distillery which I always love to support!
Sooooo that is most of what I got for Christmas this year; I'm so grateful for all of my presents, and it's been a really lovely few days! Hope you all had a fab day, let me know what you loved most in the comments below.
