March Lust List

Hey guys!

A friend of mine asked if I was going to do another 'Lust List' post, so I thought, why not! I had hoped that blogging about things I was lusting after might curb my shopping appetite ever so slightly, but sadly, I don't think my plan worked all that well.

I am trying to shop less. Do I at least get points for effort? - Flashback to my primary school years where I finished last in the obstacle race and got the 'Good Try' sticker along with a pitiful pat on the head..

Moving swiftly on;
Lets take a look at a few of the things I've been Instagram-stalking and lusting over this month. I'd love to see what products have been taking your fancy! Let me know in the comments!

1. Booja Booja Dairy Free Hazelnut Crunch Easter Egg - £9.99 (Waitrose, Ocado)
2. Marc Jacobs Decadence Eau De Parfum 50ml - £69
3. Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in 'Riviera' - £28
4. Louis Vuitton Emilie Wallet in Fuschia/Monogram Canvas - £270
5. ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip - $6 (Not available in the UK)

Starting with the chocolate because, well, duh? It's chocolate. Since I stayed entirely Vegan for the month of February I've been trying dairy-free snacks to keep my sweet tooth, er, sweet! (Check my Lifebox review here to see more on that) There are loads of brands of dairy free chocolate out there, and Booja Booja is one of the more upmarket options - Millie Mackintosh is a fan - so naturally when I saw that they made Vegan Easter Eggs, I got extremely eggcited. (Sorry I couldn't resist!)

Firstly, can we talk about the bottle for a minute? Decadence is the latest perfume by Marc Jacobs, aptly-named down to how darn beautiful it is. I'm not going to lie, this was on my Lust List before I'd even smelled the perfume. The deep green glass, the faux-snake print, the gold hardware? It just screams extravagance. Plus Adriana Lima, arguably one of the most beautiful women in the world is the face of the fragrance. Well if it's good enough for Adriana...

I'll have what she's having*

All of the previous Marc Jacobs perfumes have been lovely but slightly too girly and sweet for me. This one is much more sophisticated and heavy (so it lasts all day) and has a slightly woody, amber scent to it, which is not something I usually go for but it does smells amazing! (P.S. You can probably tell that describing scents is not one of my strengths but ah well.

In all honesty, if somebody presented me with any of the new Anastasia Beverly Hill Illuminators, I would be over the moon cause they are all gorgeous; but 'Riviera' is the standout shade if I had to pick a favourite. It's just the most beautiful rose gold highlighter I have ever seen and I have nothing like it in my makeup collection. The only reason I haven't already ordered it is because I'm waiting to swatch it in person - which by the way will be the first thing I do when I land in New York in about three weeks today! Sephora HERE I COME! But if you don't care about seeing it up close and personal, you can find it, along with a good selection of the Anastasia Beverly Hills products online at either Cult Beauty or Beauty Bay!

I feel like I don't really have to justify why anything from Louis Vuitton would be on my wishlist, but I'm gonna. SO this is the Emilie wallet and its just beautiful. I've always liked having good quality purses, (and the occasional bag too), but I've never bought something this extravagant! I was originally looking for a card holder on the LV website and thought I'd just check out the purses. Bad idea. The tab has been open on my Macbook for about 2 months now. But anyway, I absolutely love it, and I've even looked into getting my initials "hot stamped" in gold on the inside, because, well, it's free and look's hella cute!

Colourpop is another amazing American cosmetics company that we poor Brits can't buy because they don't ship to the UK! *Starts to shed a tear*  So if I could get my hands on anything from the brand I'd be happy, but it's their liquid lipsticks I've had my eye on, specifically the Ultra Satin Lip. It's their newest lip product, and unlike their Ultra Matte Lips (which people had said were slightly drying); these don't dry down completely matte, so are way more comfortable to wear on the lips, AND still last a really long time!

Look how pretty!!
Michelle from @ReadySetGlamour posted this picture (above) to her Instagram last month and I was beyond jealous. (Note: if you fancy spending a pretty penny on an overseas courier/repackaging service, you can get hold of Colourpop but the whole process just looks too faffy and long winded for me!)

So, I hope you enjoyed reading my March Lust List; I think I'm going to try and keep these up! Let me know if you have any blog post ideas, if there's anything you want to see more of. :) Peace and looooveee.

Thanks for reading your Dose of Lust

* If you had to see where this asterisk led to, then I'm disappointed in you, cause you obviously haven't watched 'When Harry Met Sally' enough times. Shame on you! (Don't worry I still love you!)
